Toad for Oracle Installation

Overview

Toad for Oracle installation notes. Performed on a Windows 2016 Server.

Prerequisites

• You have a valid Toad for Oracle license and have downloaded the software from Quest.
• You have installed the Oracle Client.
• You have created a working tnsnames.ora service entry to your database.

Installation Session

As Administrator, run installer. Example: Toad_for_Oracle_2020_x64_Full.exe.

Test

 Launch: Toad for Oracle 13.x (64-bit)

 Login dialog appears
   Enter credentials for a test DB.

   Username: MyUsername
   Password: ********
   TNS Tab, Database: <Select Database>  🠈 This comes from your tnsnames.ora entry(s).
   Click: [Connect]
